Minnesota Twins Rising Star, Ben Revere, Joins The Talent Attach Family
Today, we live a technological age in which fans can interact with their favorite athletes across many social media platforms nearly any time of the day. Many athletes have yet to realize the full potential of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and personal websites as an outlet to connect with fans and have not taken advantage of these tools like they need to.
Ben Revere, a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and current Minnesota Twin, is a rising star in the MLB with a bright future. Ben is an athlete that loves his fans and understands that social media is the way to interact with them on a daily basis. Through his everyday use of Facebook and Twitter, fans are given a glimpse at life outside the baseball diamond and the hard work that goes into the star that Ben has become. We at Talent Attach have teamed up with Ben to give him a complete upgrade of his social media platforms.
Currently, we have designed a website that gives fans a Ben’s biography, a statistics page for his baseball career, and a section titled Ben Revere TV. In the Ben Revere TV section of the website fans are linked to videos on YouTube and Vimeo that feature or include Ben.
Talent Attach has also teamed up with Ben to give his fans on Facebook the best experience possible with a custom fan page. After creating a custom brand and logo for Ben we gave Ben’s fan page custom tabs that link to his webpage, Twitter account, and Ben Revere TV. With over three thousand likes since it’s recent launch, it is only a matter of time before Ben’s page becomes the model of what other athlete’s fan pages should look like.
Ben’s Twitter page background is currently in the works and will have the same feel as his Facebook fan page and website. We look forward to working with Ben as he becomes a MLB star and a crowd favorite with thousands of fans who can keep in touch through his excellent use of social media.

Facebook Marketing in Lexington, KY (COACH CAL CLUELESS?)
There are several companies/personalities in Lexington, KY who are beginning to notice the tremendous advertising efficiency Facebook offers opposed to traditional advertising (billboards, radio ads, television ads, magazine/newspaper ads, etc). Facebook allows you to reach more of your target market in a more interactive, genuine manner — oh yeah, for way less money too.
Having a fan page is only the start — you must then ask yourself:
- Does your fan page look awesome? Or do you just have “info,” “wall,” and “photos,” sections? Your fan page should have everything your website has.
- Is their engaging content to invite interaction with consumers? Is there any reason for people to COME BACK to your page?
- Are you running campaigns that build positive relationships between you and your consumers?
FLOWTOWN had a great article outlining some interesting facts of Facebook marketing:
- 69% of businesses surveyed say Facebook is their main marketing tool
- 73% small business owners are using Facebook to market & advertise their services
- 58% of small business owners 54 and older are less likely to rely on Facebook for their marketing (they better hope their consumers don’t like Facebook either)
There is no excuse why your fan page doesn’t look as dope as Nike. We can design a Nike-level fan page, manage fun & interactive consumer-facing campaigns, and teach you how to use content to build interaction and loyalty with your target market — for significantly less money than you are spending on those magazine/tv ads.
Here are some companies/personalities who “get it”:

Facebook is Not Social Media in Lexington KY
Have you noticed that a Facebook Fan Page and a Facebook Profile are not Social Media? It tuns out that Facebook is aligning themselves as the go to micro and mobile site of this decade. This is done through a 5 page design on a Facebook Fan Page that hold all of the important information about a brand/company and a 2 page micro/mobile site that holds all of the sharable information of a person.
The role Facebook is now playing is actively setting Authenticity Bar.
The question is what actually makes the brand or person authentic?
We can’t really speak about the Facebook Profile pages, though we can talk about the Facebook Fan Pages. There are plenty of brands that have a presence on Facebook in Lexington KY and the country that look sub par and their business is doing “ok”. There are others that have invested in their look and they are thriving. The question is do you want to have a presence that is “ok” or thriving. I am not saying that Talent Attach is perfect or experts by any means. We know enough to know that we will make mistakes every day. All we can do is give our best to provide our clients with the opportunity to thrive. That said, I think we have the best Facebook Fan Page and Social Media designs in Lexington KY.
Talent Attach believes that people want to be part of thriving communities of people and having days that are full of life. So, all you have to do is commit to building a micro/mobile site on the Internet and treat it that way. Facebook is not Social Media it is a mobile/micro site. If you are not thinking thoughts of designing a micro/mobile site with your Facebook Fan Page, then you are being misled by you or some one else. Do something real and new and this moment will be the beginning of a new creation of a business or a brand. This moment is the moment where you can step into a life of all things being new, real, vibrant and even fun! Go for it!

Lexington KY: @NikkiBurdine Leads TV Social Media
The best part is that she is a Lexington Celebrity and people are taking notice. Not because she has a great presentation on Facebook, it is because she talks to people in social media reguarly. Turns out that we are not the only ones who think that. Tops In Lex did a 2 page write up on her. Nikki Burdine simply leads all celebrities in the Bluegrass Region on Social Media hands down.
This blog is totally biased because Talent Attach did all of the design and we are totally backing a winning horse. We will leave it up to you by following her, commenting on her posts and retweeting her. All other Lexington KY Celebrities better take note.

Azur Restaurant of Lexington KY is Food Network Worthy
Azur Restaurant of Lexington KY is Food Network Worthy
by Tim Savage
My wife and I got the gift of experiencing Azur for our anniversary on November 12 2011. We came with our minds and pallets open. We knew that a 5 course meal was coming our way and we were super amazed by the work of art we got to experience. The best way to explain it is to say that we felt like we were on an episode from the Food Network.
In review of the restaurant, the Food Network atmosphere is what stands out the most. This consists of the continuous symphony of new tastes that complimented the last in each of the 5 courses. My three favorites would be the Lobster Sandwich, the Poached Fillet and the Butternut Squash Appitizer. Each of them were delivered in ways I had not experienced before and turned me on to the dish in a whole new way. The dishes were stand out in presentation, taste and timing. The meal was not only please to the pallet it was an wonderful evening for my wife and I overall. One we did not want to end.
Here are three parts of the Lexington Restaurant experience in which Azur Excels.
1) Food : The food at Azur is top notch and their is nothing less than an A+ in the quality, creativity and the taste. I personally was brought to a new place with steak, mushrooms and butternut squash.
2) The People : The people at Azure were amazing. Josh the waiter and Miguel the chef are people I would personally want to hang with and get to know. They were real and excited to see what you were experiencing and how to make it even better. Never at one time do I feel like I was a customer. I always felt like I was a guest in their kitchen at their house.
3) Every thing your eye can see: Azur did was packed with people, great music by DJ Price, beautiful design of the restaurant itself and everything was clean and polished. I felt like I was in a restaurant that they looked at the details and wanted to impress you with every view and sound that you received.
In conclusion, it felt like we were on a episode of a show on the Cooking Chanel. In fact, I thin that Azur is the lead restaurant at this moment to be highlighted as Lexington best restaurant to highlight on the cooking channel when they come here. So Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis, Jamie Oliver, Michael Symon, Paula Deen and Alton Brown we invite you to come and see the magic at Azur. I believe that anyone will leave Azur wanting to tell all who will listen about their experience. That is Social Media at it’s best. Your marketing is not marketing when people are talking about you in a social setting, it is now truth.

Thanks WKYT! Social Media Marketing & Design
In Lexington KY we are a city that reflects America at it’s best. Only the truth of marketing works in Lexington KY. If you go for Dinner, the best restaurants are found through word of mouth. If you want a good doctor you will always look for the best one and see who can introduce you. This is not a cold calling or unannounced introduction city. So how do you increase your visibility?
The ways to increase visibility is only through introductions. Your increase of introductions is only though an increase in perception of be a quality person to introduce to people. This does not happen by having a big house, car or fine clothes. It only happens through an honest presentation that looks and feels safe. People want to be around people who present themselves well. That means the design of “You” is most important in you personal life and business life. It is the same on Social Media. Turns out what is true in Lexington KY is true through out the country.
Simply take the analogy of incentivizing people to like your page by giving away an iPad. Do people really want the iPad and do they really believe they will win and is it of real value to them? Probably not. We have been working on creating a solid design on the Facebook Fan Page and spreading the name of the company by having fun give aways that are locally based and have something of value to the person. Our theory that is coming out correct shows that we are not looking to sell any one anything we are simply doing life with people on Facebook and twitter with out the ask of them being our “fan”. We are Wild and Crazy Guys (and girl).
3 Steps to be Social Media Marketing through Design :
1) Think of people and the conversation you want to have with them first
2) Think of what you would wear to that conversation
3) Ask the question”Does my Facebook Fan Page look like the conversation I want to have with people?”
Here is my most recent interview on WKYT talking about Social Media Design. Thanks Barbara Bailey and Bill Bryant for having me on!
